Tabidachi is a trip-planning and packing app made by an independent developer. The short version: your data belongs to you, lives in your own iCloud, and we run no accounts, no analytics, no ads, and no tracking. This page explains exactly what the app touches and where it goes.
Trips, packing items, itineraries, saved places, luggage and traveler names are stored on your device and synced through your personal iCloud account (Apple CloudKit). We — the developer — have no access to this data. Apple processes it under the Apple Privacy Policy.
When you invite someone to a trip, Apple's CloudKit sharing gives that person access to that trip's data until you remove them (⋯ → Manage Collaborators) or stop sharing. Sharing is always initiated by you; nothing is shared by default.
If you use Calendar Import, the app reads events on your device only to let you copy them into a trip itinerary. Calendar data is never transmitted anywhere and access is used only while you are importing. You can revoke access anytime in iOS Settings.
When you use Find Places or AI packing suggestions, the app sends only the destination city and your search text to our server, which forwards it to Google (Places API) or Anthropic (Claude API) to produce results. These requests:
Google's processing is covered by the Google Privacy Policy and Anthropic's by the Anthropic Privacy Policy. Place results display "Powered by Google" attribution as required by Google's terms.
Trip reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. There is no push-notification server and no messaging to you from us.
Everything is in your control: delete a trip in the app to remove it from your iCloud; delete the app to remove all on-device data. Our server retains nothing about you, so there is nothing for us to delete.
Tabidachi is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information from anyone.
If this policy changes, the update will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
